Animation
For me, animation represents an intersection of two great loves: visual art and storytelling. The history of animation is filled with images of stylized characters and wondrous environments that would be virtually impossible to create in the real world. A still image of any of these scenes is remarkable enough, but then the character moves and emotes… and takes your breath away.

Past Projects
Selene steals a box
One of my last class exercises in 2005. My sister, who has many years of dance training and a great sense of movement, provided the reference for Selene in this clip and the one in my reel. I believe I was also was watching a lot of the TV series, Alias, at the time which likely played her movement and poses as well.
Assembled in January 2005 not long after my Ai Vancouver graduation, this reel was meant to showcase a variety of animation from complex character animation to basic gravity and kinematics. As such it brings together a wide variety of clips from my time in animation school.
My first 3D short film completed as my graduation project in 2004. It took approximately nine months to finish from concept to final render while taking classes at the same time. As this was my very first film, a great deal of blood, sweat and tears went into its production.
